Initial TMJ Release Therapy
Gentle support for jaw tension, headaches, and nervous system balance.
Service Description
If you experience jaw pain, clicking, clenching, headaches, or facial tension, this specialized treatment is designed to help release restrictions, reduce muscle tension, and restore ease throughout the jaw and surrounding tissues. The jaw is closely connected to the muscles, fascia, and nervous system of the head, neck, shoulders, and upper body. Stress, injury, dental procedures, poor posture, and habitual clenching can create tension patterns that affect far more than just the jaw. This session combines the gentle, restorative approach of Craniosacral Fascial Therapy with targeted soft tissue massage, myofascial techniques, and gentle jaw mobilization to release tension, improve mobility, and encourage healthy movement of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Treatment may include work on the jaw, face, scalp, neck, shoulders, and upper chest, as these areas often contribute to TMJ dysfunction. By addressing both the physical restrictions and the nervous system, this integrated approach helps reduce muscle guarding, improve circulation, and encourage lasting relief. This session may benefit those experiencing: Jaw pain or tenderness Teeth clenching or grinding (bruxism) Clicking or popping of the jaw Limited jaw opening or movement Tension headaches or migraines Neck and shoulder tension Facial tightness or discomfort Stress-related jaw tension Many clients notice not only greater comfort and mobility in the jaw but also a profound sense of relaxation as the nervous system shifts into a calmer, more balanced state. Each session is tailored to your individual needs, helping your body release tension, restore balance, and move with greater comfort and ease. Please note: This therapy is intended to support comfort, mobility, and overall well-being. It is not a substitute for medical or dental diagnosis or treatment. If you have severe jaw pain, locking, a recent injury, or significant changes in your bite, please consult your healthcare provider or dentist before treatment.
